Josh Dixon

Josh.jpg

My name is Josh Dixon and I’m a student in my final year at the University of Lethbridge.

I’ve always had a passion for video games since playing Halo: Combat Evolved, and the love for games grew until I decided I wanted to make them myself!

My main role in Echoes of the Abyss has been the primary texture artist. I have been responsible for creating the textures and making sure they work inside the game, before sending them off to the final build. The texture work has been done in 3ds Max, Substance Painter and Substance Designer, with implementation in Unreal Engine 4.

Additionally, you can hear me as Captain Jean Jacques DePerry, for whom I did voice acting.

I’m excited to have contributed to such a great project as one of my last pieces in university, and I’m looking forward to what else I’ll be working on in the future! You can see more of my projects and learn more about me at

Kane Young-Christie

I am an undergraduate at the University of Lethbridge. My main focus is level design. This includes: Concepting levels on paper, placing assets into the level, creating level-related code, cinematics that play in the level, and play-testing. I also helped with designing mechanics and implementing puzzles.  In this project, we made three areas of increasing complexity and scope. Our worlds are unique and filled with undersea life.  Overall they are visually stunning, interesting, and immersive.
